UDP mail notification on Exchange 2003 cluster
Hi All. Iam trying to find some info about behavior of this functionality. Currently when EX sends udp new mail notificaton packet, it sends it not from virtual cluster server, but from physical nodes IP address. This behavior is partialy described by MS for EX 2000 server in this article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=811061. Ex 2003 acts the same. Do anyone knows if it is "by design" feature, or it is a bug? Can this be changedso the notifications wil be send from virtual server IP address?? setup: 2x win 2003 sp1 std., active-passive cluster Exchange 2003 sp1 clustered thx DAvid

I know in previous versions that it was not possible to set this. Are you having problems with NAT'ing or getting firewall ports opened? Are your clients using Outlook 2003 with RPC/HTTP?
