Two problems with exchange 2007 meeting invitations to/from outlook 2003 client
1. first and more important problem: When sending meeting invitations from the outlook calendars (connected to exchsrvr 2007) to recipients using outlook 2003 who are not connected an exchange 2007 server they get a long text jibrish message (hereinafter) instead of an authentic outlook meeting invitation/request. I know this is an exchange problem because when I send the same meeting invitation from the same computer with the same outlook using my external pop3 mail account all the recipients get the message just fine! o Sending from OWA produces the same problemo Sending from a station without an antivirus/antispam/firewall produces the same problemo Sending meeting invitations in English didnt help ( I suspect Hebrew has something to do with this problem..)o Changing the various outlook message options didnt change much including: changing language defaults (in server and in client), changing internet message format and message composing format(o When forcing through exchange server (in hub transport- remote domain) always use exchange rich text or forcing using TNEF (through cmdlet) the remote recipients get the message without the jibrish but in "winmail.dat" format (like RTM message received by non-outlook clients..) without voting buttons and so on..o When I sent the message to clients with outlook 2007 everything was fine and the problem didnt reproduce it selfo After setting up an exchange contact in our exchange organization to one of those remote recipients this contact succeeded in accepting the meeting invitations (and after another configuration change in the sending outlook- unchecking the checkbox of " let outlook automatically choose encoding to your outgoing messages")Please help! I dont know where to go next.. 2. When a subject receives a meeting invitation it is always with "reminder" on even if the meeting doesn't have a reminder in the sending outlook (or owa) This problem is mainly annoying but I would be glad to get some help on this too.We are Using exchange 2007 on server 2003 r2 64bit with all the sp and patchesThe clients use :office 2003 with all the sp and patches Hebrew interfacewin xpsp2this is the message as received by recipients outside the exchange 2007 organization:Return-path: <example@example.co.il>Received: from mxin4.netvision.net.il ([194.90.9.34]) by msg4s.netvision.net.il (Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.2-6.01 (built Apr 3 2006)) with ESMTP id <0JJ400374OJXK8B0@msg4s.netvision.net.il>; Mon,04 Jun 2007 23:21:34 +0300 (IDT)Received: from mtaout5.012.net.il ([84.95.2.13]) by mxin4.netvision.net.il (Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.2-6.01 (built Apr 3 2006)) with ESMTP id <0JJ4005QOOJXD6Y0@mxin4.netvision.net.il> for example@example.org.il (ORCPT example@example.org.il); Mon,04 Jun 2007 23:21:33 +0300 (IDT)Received: from mail.example.co.il ([212.199.121.196]) by i_mtaout5.012.net.il (HyperSendmail v2004.12) with ESMTPA id <0JJ400E7GOZ7H0N0@i_mtaout5.012.net.il> for dafna@eshbal.org.il; Mon, 04 Jun 2007 23:30:43 +0300 (IDT)Received: from example.tdror.local ([192.168.100.2]) by example.tdror.local ([192.168.100.2]) with mapi; Mon,04 Jun 2007 23:21:07 +0300Date: Mon, 04 Jun 2007 23:21:04 +0300From: Alonisser <alon@example.co.il>Subject:=?utf-8?B?16LXldeTINeg15nXodeZ15XXnyDXnNeT16TXoNeUIC0g15 DXoNeQINeT15U=?==?utf-8?B?15XXl9eZINeQ15nXmiDXlNeS15nXoiAtMiAo15vXnyDXlt eUINeQ15fXkw==?==?utf-8?B?INeQ15fXqCk=?=To: =?utf-8?B?15PXpNeg15Q=?= <example@example.org.il>Message-id: <26A46D59DBADC64CA9E0D3AC517FA3B011FCD1DFA4@exampl e.tdror.local>MIME-version: 1.0Content-type: multipart/alternative;boundary="Boundary_(ID_Wb+EXpYSQ3M7ElRuMZAu/Q)"Content-language: he-ILAccept-Language: he-ILThread-topic:=?utf-8?B?16LXldeTINeg15nXodeZ15XXnyDXnNeT16TXoNeUIC0g15 DXoNeQINeT15U=?==?utf-8?B?15XXl9eZINeQ15nXmiDXlNeS15nXoiAtMiAo15vXnyDXlt eUINeQ15fXkw==?==?utf-8?B?INeQ15fXqCk=?=Thread-index: Acem5eCHgsy/QFXOSSmugpr8gBd1pgAAAAHQacceptlanguage: he-ILX-012-Sender: example@012.net.ilX-MS-Has-Attach:X-MS-TNEF-Correlator:--Boundary_(ID_Wb+EXpYSQ3M7ElRuMZAu/Q)Content-type: text/plain; charset=utf-8Content-transfer-encoding: 8BITWhen: 07 2007 12:00-16:30 (GMT+02:00) Jerusalem.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* --Boundary_(ID_Wb+EXpYSQ3M7ElRuMZAu/Q)Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8Content-transfer-encoding: 8BIT<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"> <meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft Exchange Server"><!-- converted from rtf --><style>.EmailQuote { margin-left: 1pt; padding-left: 4pt; border-left: #800000 2px solid; }</style> </head> <body> <font face="Arial, sans-serif" size="2"><div>When: <font face="Arial (Hebrew), sans-serif">&nbsp; 07 2007 12:00-16:30</font> (GMT+02:00) Jerusalem.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div><font face="Arial (Hebrew), sans-serif"> </font></div> <div>&nbsp;</div> </font> </body> </html>--Boundary_(ID_Wb+EXpYSQ3M7ElRuMZAu/Q)Content-type: text/calendar; charset=utf-8; method=REQUESTContent-transfer-encoding: 8BITBEGIN:VCALENDARMETHOD:REQUESTPRODID:Microsoft Exchange Server 2007VERSION:2.0BEGIN:VTIMEZONETZID:Israel Standard TimeBEGINTANDARDDTSTART:16010101T020000TZOFFSETFROM:+0300TZOFFSETTO:+0200RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;INTERVAL=1;BYDAY=3SU;BYMONTH=9ENDTANDARDBEGINAYLIGHTDTSTART:16010101T020000TZOFFSETFROM:+0200TZOFFSETTO:+0300RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;INTERVAL=1;BYDAY=-1FR;BYMONTH=3ENDAYLIGHTEND:VTIMEZONEBEGIN:VEVENTORGANIZER;CN=Alonisser:MAILTO:alon@example.co.ilATTENDEE;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;PARTSTAT=NEEDS-ACTION;RSVP=TRUE;CN= :M AILTOafna@eshbal.org.ilDESCRIPTION:When: 07 2007 12:00-16:30 (GMT+02:00) Jerusalem.\n\n*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*\n\n \n\ n SUMMARY: - -2 ( )DTSTART;TZID=Israel Standard Time:20070607T120000 DTEND;TZID=Israel Standard Time:20070607T163000 UID:040000008200E00074C5B7101A82E00800000000409ED4 05FFA6C7010000000000000000100000008A91E9ED18DEC7419CA1C8A7CB96C887CLASSUBLICPRIORITY:5DTSTAMP:20070604T202104ZTRANSPPAQUESTATUS:CONFIRMEDSEQUENCE:0LOCATION:X-MICROSOFT-CDO-APPT-SEQUENCE:0X-MICROSOFT-CDO-OWNERAPPTID:-148609065X-MICROSOFT-CDO-BUSYSTATUS:TENTATIVEX-MICROSOFT-CDO-INTENDEDSTATUS:FREEX-MICROSOFT-CDO-ALLDAYEVENT:FALSEX-MICROSOFT-CDO-IMPORTANCE:1X-MICROSOFT-CDO-INSTTYPE:0BEGIN:VALARMACTIONISPLAYDESCRIPTION:REMINDERTRIGGER;RELATED=START:-PT15MEND:VALARMEND:VEVENTEND:VCALENDAR--Boundary_(ID_Wb+EXpYSQ3M7ElRuMZAu/Q)--
