Two new routers - only one works!
I have two ADSL Modem/Wireless Routers for evaluation. A) Netgear DGN2200v3 and B) ASUS N55U Both are configured as local LAN address 10.10.20.1 so I can swap modems as required for testing. Both are configured to pass the following port traffic to the local address of the (SBS) Exchange 2007 Server (10.10.20.6) - 25, 21, 22, 80, 110, 143, 443, 984, 8080, 3389 The Netgear delivers mail into the system The ASUS blocks incoming mail (until I remove the ASUS and restore the Netgear into circuit). On paper the ASUS looks an interesting modem/router so it is the one I'd like to end up with! I am arguing with the folk at ASUS but would appreciate any forum comment why SMTP incoming mail would be blocked by the ASUS and allowed by the Netgear.

Hi I am not familar with ASUS router. Do two router run same wireless protocol? The best way is to run sniffer or other network monitor software and capture network packet. Maybe your hareware provider will offer answer in detail.Terence Yu TechNet Community Support
