Two Public Folder in one environment
Dear All,I have some issue that need to clarify before I performed.1) It is possible have two Public Folder in Exchange 2007. Below is my Exchange configuration :- 2 CAS\HUB server- 4 Mailbox serverSo, we already have 1 public folder in mailbox1 server for OAB and OOF for Outlook 2003 user. So, we want to deploy Public folder in our current environment. We plan to create another one Public Folder in server 4 due to load in server 1 is high. From architecture and implementation view, can we do like above?2) SMTP configuration and settingSome application in my company need to use SMTP to set in their application for notify purpose. So, I can't find any setting that can use for these application in Exchange 2007. I do study and find out that that setting need to use POP or IMAP. Is it possible to use just MAPI to set in that application? And if yes, what is suppose to be my outgoing, incoming and port for exchange? Or I still need to go to IMAP or POP?Thanks for your time and answer. :) carckermania

Yes, its ok to deploy another public folder store for load-balance If you have CCR in the exchange environment, please see Cluster Continuous Replication and Public Folder Databases section in Planning for Cluster Continuous Replication Per my knowledge, relay mails via SMTP is the way to send mail from application, if thats what you want to accomplish, please see this article. If not, please describe more about set in their application for notify purpose, and what do you mean about that setting need to use POP or IMAP, just MAPI to set in that application?
