BackgroundWe have setup a new Exch 2003, moved mailboxes, replicated Public folders, etc following How to remove the first Exchange Server 2003 computer from the administrative group http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822931. The only section that could not be performed was Create another Site Replication Service (SRS) instance, as there was not a"Site Replication Service" under the tools menu. After looking at the services on both the new and old server, the MS Exchange Site Replication Service were disabled.IssueWhile performing the Remove of the Exchange components I get the following msg from the Components Messages dialog.Microsoft--Microsoft Exchange Messaging and Collaboration ServicesThe service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.Facility:Win32ID no: c007041dMicrosoft Exchange SetupThe you then can click next and the server is still showing in the mgt console, MS Exchange is still in the Add/Remove Programs, and there are services still listed but not are running.

I have ran it3 times no luck. I have now rebooted and am trying again.

It successfully uninstalled after the reboot. All services now removed and the server is gone from the Mgt Console.
