Trying to prevent people from replying to all on a distribution list
Some users use a distribution list to email to all users in the organization. Unfortunately, most users click on reply to all and send their replies to the whole organization which generates a lot of unnecessary emails. I really love those congratulatory emails!!!Is there a way to avoid this situation? I look into creating a rule. Could not find a way. I looked at the server but could not find a way either. Is there a way to disable the reply to all function on an email or a distribution list? I also tried to educate the users in using BCC. No luck!!!

Or you cantrain\cajole\convince the senders to put the DL into the Bcc: header. If kindness doesn't work, try some form of public humiliation forrepeat offenders. :-)---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP--- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

As Rich said, if kindness doesnt work , go with the Public Humiliation. Even if that doesnt work, show that you are IT guy and in control of every thing , remove there rights to send emails to a DL for a week or see if that makes the difference.Raj

If you'd like to remove the "Reply All" from Outlook you can try this:http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2009/09/29/452689.aspxBut, short of deploying RMS, there's no way to prevent this for anyone particular message.---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP--- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
