Trying to install Certificate Services on Windows 2K3 SBS, asks for SP2 CD
I'm trying to install the windows component Certificate Services on our server but it asks for SP2 CD. We didn't install SP2 from a CD, it came from a windows update. I downloaded SP2 from MS and extracted the contents to a newly created i386 folder and pointed the Add/Remove programs installer to that folder it progressed a little further then asked for some specific files. After a bit of searching i was advised to expand some files held within the i386 folder, which I duly did - however it's still not letting me install the Certificate service. I'm pulling my hair out - I've been trying to fix this for weeks and can't seem to find any help which gets the job done. The reason I need to do this is so I can issue a certificate to our Fortinet firewall via the SCEP protocol and to deploy the certificate to several employee iPhones using the iPhoneConfiguration utility. See this article for details: http://www.ios4business.com/category/deployment/vpn/ For the record, our server is fully patched with the latest OS Service Packs and monthly patches, as is Exchange 2003. The Fortinet appliance has been flashed with the latest firmware and the iOS devices are all on iOS 5.0 Any help would be greatly appreciated - Thank you, Dan

SP2 of what? I assume Windows 2003, not Exchange 2003. I would ask this in the SBS Forums: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/smallbusinessserver/threads
