Trying to associate .XLSX files with Excel 2013 while opening as separate process
I was trying to get Excel to consistently open under a separate process and I know that using the /x switch that I can open Excel using a separate process (e.g. excel /x), but when I try to do the same with file associations I don't see separate processes
being created. Is there a way to make the behavior consistent regardless of whether excel is opened without a file selected or not? If so how?

you need to assign the full path after excel /x like excel.exe /x "c:\My Folder\book1.xlsx"
