Trying to activate MSDN version of Office with MSDN key

I had to reformat and rebuild my machine. I'm reinstalling office using an MSDN subscription with an MSDN key. I believe it's the same key I had used on the machine before the reformat.

I get "This key is for a different version of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 than what's currently installed"

running osspp.vbs I get:

LICENSE NAME: Office 15, OfficeProPlusR_Grace edition
LICENSE DESCRIPTION: Office 15, RETAIL(Grace) channel

LICENSE STATUS:  ---OOB_GRACE---
ERROR CODE: 0x4004F00C
ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the application
is running within the valid grace period.
REMAINING GRACE: 4 days  (7187 minute(s) before expiring)

My key is for Office Pro Retail 2013

any ideas?

Hi,

The error message implies that the key doesn't match the version of Office that has been installed, would you please double confirm that you have installed the right version? Please note "Professional Plus" and "Profession" are two different versions.

If you can confirm you are using the corresponding version, for further assistance I suggest you contact the MSDN Subscriptions Customer Service Centers:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions/aa948875.aspx

In our forum we mainly discuss questions and feedbacks about Office client issues, we have limited access to the licensing status and this is why I suggest you contact the portal above.
