I haven't been able to find anything on this error. Has anyone seen this before?

Have you run the schema and domain preparation commands before deploying the first Exchange 2007 server? you must use a domain account that has permission to update Active Directory schema for starters http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa995902(EXCHG.80).aspx

I had run the setup /PL & setup /PSsuccessfully. The error was received when running setup /PrepareAd Ihad to call support because of some resultant problems with my offline address list. I'd been attempting to run setup /PrepareAd on a domain member server when I was getting the error. To resolve the issue,my domain controller needed to have .net 2.0 and powershell installed. I was then able to run setup /PrepareAd directly on the (schema master) dc.
