Hi I have the following problem when I want to mount my Public Information Store database: MSExchangeIS (5816) Second Storage Group: Error -1811 occurred while opening logfile F:\Exchange Server\Mailbox\Second Storage Group\E0100000F4D.log. I have tried to get hold of that file but can't find it anywhere not even in the last 6 months backups. I have tried to restore everything but it still gives me the same error. Any Assistance will be greatly appreciated Thx Jacques EDIT: Sorry forgot to say that I am runing E2K7SP1

Hi Jacques, Make sure that you have set antivirus exclusion properly. File-Level Antivirus Scanning on Exchange 2007 Check in event log for Event ID 523, if you have then you can run ESEUTIL /R Enn /A to recover log file with new feature of Exchange 2007 Lost Log Resilience (LLR). More information can be found at Eseutil /R Recovery Mode If you above doesnt help then check If database is in clean shutdown state then you can move all log & chk files to temporary folder and try to mount the PF Database. (You can run eseutil /mh to see the state of database). If it doesnt mount then repair the PF database with ESEUtil /p & check the integrity with isintag andmount it. Take offline backup of Database & log files before doing any of these activities.
