Trouble adding Notes to a Contact in Outlook

Hello,

In the previous installment of Outlook, you could drag in useful attachments when making/editing a contact. From entire emails to PDFs or pictures containing relevant information.

It appears that this functionality is either not available or maybe not defaulted in the new Outlook. I can copy and paste blocks of text into the notes section, but in my line of business it was immensely useful to be able to drag in those attachments. Is there a way to make it happ'n cap'n?

Thank you for your time!

Respectfully,

Matt (whiteonyx)

Hi Matt,

Do you mean you can't drag and drop an attachment into the Notes field of a contact? If this is the case, I'd like to know what version of Outlook you are using. In Outlook 2013, we can still drag/drop an attachments into the Notes field of a contact. If dragging/dropping doesn't work for you, please also try inserting via Insert tab > Attach Files to see the result.

In addition, please also check if the drag/drop functionality works in normal emails. Try dragging an attachment and dropping it to a new message.

Please let me know the result.
