Translations
Can Windows 7, WORD 2007, translate from English to German. If so, how do I do this?

There is nothing in Word that can translate text, if that is what you are asking. You could try your favorite search engine.

(Oops, it is 2010, I am pretty sure, 2007 has some kind of equivalent function. Good Luck !)

Good point; I completely overlooked the Translate command on the Review tab. In Word 2007, the command opens the Research pane. A few languages seem to be supported (perhaps depending on the proofing languages installed with Office): English, French, Spanish.

On mine German shows up in both to and from. Be aware that there are very real limitations on machine translation. If you rely on it you will be embarrassed, at least.

Stefan, lately, I've been having Office do full installs on my computer rather than leaving anything for download. Hard drives today are not unlimited, but they are big!

I don't think a full installation adds ALL languages, only the limited set of (extra) languages supported for a particular language version.

When it comes to hard drives, yes, they are big and relatively cheap, as long as you stick to the standard HDDs. Solid state drives are expensive and relatively sm
