Hello, so I've just bought another server, and want to transfer data from my original server to my new one, my new server has Debian 7 installed, my old server has Debian 7.5 installed.

I was thinking of using Rsync to sync data then just not pay for my old server, I don't want to use a FTP client, because my internet connection sucks, and I cannot figure out Rsync for the life of me, I see how you sync certain directories, but I cannot figure out how to sync the main directory in general, please help me?
