Hi, We cannot restore a MB from a backup of the latest year to an Up-To-Date status as there are two transaction log sequences. The transaction logs of new sequence cannot be replayed into the restored database file. Nevertheless, after backup the older transaction log files, you can restore the database to the state before the new Transaction Log sequence is started in case you need to restore some information from old database.. In addition, I suggest that you fully back up the information store immediately after restarting a new transaction log sequence. Mike
