Hi there,
Sometime this usually happens because of Corrupted Calendar Items.
If i would have at your place for this scenarios, i would have taken such steps.
1. Run the ExMON on the server and see there would be one users who would be using more CPU Percentage.
2. Set that Users Quota to 0 MB.
3. Then Check the ExMON, you should see the control on CPU usage and Unusual Growth of the DB Logs.
4. Take control of that User Outlook and check for any corrupted Calendar Items, or else you can ask user any calendar items which might be misbehaving.
