Trailing slash in owa address
Hello everyone. I have been struggeling with my Exhcange 2007 SP1 on a Windows server 2008 RTM. Installation went perfect, no problems and everything was running smoothely except OWA. When i tried to login to OWA i got the nice forms login screen, input my credentials and waitede and waited.. nothing ever happenede. No wrong password message, no event in the logs, no 404, no 403 no nothing. It just stood there with the spinning IE logo and the load bare slowly filling up. I finally discovered that if i was using the address https://myserver.mydomain.com/owa you couldnt login. BUT if i used the address https://myserver.mydomain.com/owa/everything worked. Yes the addresses are identical except the / at the end. So my question is why in the world does the trailling slash have enything to do with me (or anyone else) logging in to OWA) ?? I have checke my other Exch 2007 installs (on Win 2k3 though) and they don't care about the trailing slash. So please someone, enlighten me. Am i a complete idiot or does the / really mean something when you are running Windows 2008/IIS 7 + Exchange 2007 ? Regards Thornton

On a side note, the internal and externalurl property on the owa Vdir in EM is set to the address WITHOUT the slash.

Thanks, I had the same problem and the only method that works was using dash in http redirection to https://domain.com/owa/

Yep, i solved it by adding the slash in the redirection. But it still boggles my mind why the slash is neccesary. because i have other installations where the slash is not needed.
