Topology Discovery failed
I have a Windows 2003 DC with Exchange 2003 (yes I know you are not suposed to install an exchange 2003 server on a DC) i need to move all public folders and user mailboxes off this server so I installed a new Exchange 2003 on a windows 2003 member server. The new server when installing had a huge (30mins to 60mins) delay starting the System Attendant service. I have also noticed a ton of errors in the event log:Metabase Update failed to read the Configuration namespace property from the domain controller. Error code is 80040a01. Process MAD.EXE (PID=4944). Topology Discovery failed, error 0x80040a02. The MAD Monitoring thread was unable to read its configuration from the DS, error '0x80040a01'. Process MAD.EXE (PID=4944). All Domain Controller Servers in use are not responding: dc1.corp.comdc2.corp.comdc3.corp.comCan anyone help?

I was having that issue, and this post helped me immensely. I had been working on this issue for 2-3 hours, and then this turned out to be a 5 min fix from the time I read it until my servers were back up again. Thanks.
