To raise the Forest/Domain Functional level to windows 2008 native from windows 2003 on Exchange server
Hello, I just need clarification. We are running Exchange 2007 SP2 & Windows server 2008 Enterprise 64 bit edition and current Forest/Domain Functional level is windows server 2003 for all the server. we need to raise the Forest/Domain Functional level to windows 2008 native. Here i need to confirm if any impact/pre-requisite to be checked from the Exchange messaging side or anything needs to be change form exchange side? kindly help with questions I would be most Grateful. Hi Abhishek, Based on my experience, the forest functional level change has no effect on the Exchange Organization in this scenario, (after you raise forest/Domain level to Windows 2008) Exchange Server can still work as before.
