Folk I have a single forest with 2 domain controllers and am having some difficulty with time syncing with one of the domain controllers. Ive checked out the knowledge base and other sources but am no nearer to a solution Im sure however that the solution is straightforward and I hope that someone here can offer me some guidance. DC01 holds the following roles: Schema master Domain naming master RID master Global Catalog Server DC02 holds the following roles: PDC Emulator Infrastructure Master The error messages I am getting on DC02 are: Informational The time provider NtpClient cannot reach or is currently receiving invalid time data from svhqdc01.nshousing.org.uk (ntp.d|(dc2ipaddress):123->dc1ipaddress:123). Warning Time Provider NtpClient: No valid response has been received from domain controller svhqdc01.nshousing.org.uk after 8 attempts to contact it. This domain controller will be discarded as a time source and NtpClient will attempt to discover a new domain controller from which to synchronize. Error The time provider NtpClient is configured to acquire time from one or more time sources, however none of the sources are currently accessible. No attempt to contact a source will be made for 15 minutes. NtpClient has no source of accurate time. I ran net time /querysntp and got the following This computer is not currently configured to use a specific SNTP server.It looks obvious but I have been so far unable to resolve this problem.I would be grateful for any advice anyone can offer.RegardsPhilip
