Looks like your exchange server is not talking to the gc/dc correctly. Have a look if there's any DC/GC servers under, server configuration -> hub transport -> properties of your server and under"system settings" also make sure prior to installing exchange in domain you have prepared the domain by running /Preparedomain command. Small updatei used RPCCFG.exe to find out which ports were being used for RPC. Ran trace on the firewall and found that the ports used for RPC traffic were being blocked. Unblocked ports and it seems to have solved the issue. Any idea why RPC was using ports 6001 - 6004. Are these default portsI can now connect to the HK server via IIS

RPC ports are not fixed unless you configure it that way:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb331973.aspx

HI Andy,It was your second link that helped me find a resolution to the issue. I can confirm that opening the ports on teh firewall fixed the issue. We didnt configure any ports for RPC, but i am guessing these are pre configured ports which Exchange 2007 uses to communicate. Thanks to all for your helpBy the way.....Did anyone know installing Exchange 2007 SP1 on a virtual Windows 2003R2 SP2 x64bit is not supported by Microsoft. Apperently they came across many performance issues during their testing whichrendered it unsupported. I spoke to Micorosoft and have asked for testing documentation and the types of issues tehy encountered. Lets see what they comeback with.
