The number of named properties reached the quote limit on the first mail store
I have a 2003 sp2 exchange server where the first mailstore reached it's limit of property ID's. Is there a way to monitor the database to check when it is reaching the limit, and is there a way to clean it out without destroying the database. The issue I have is the system attendant lives in the mailstore and I don't want to have to modify the AD schema to move it. I tried to move all the mailboxes to another storage group so I could do a eseutil on the database but it made no difference Regards Tony Williamson Systems Administrator

If you've reached the hardlimit of 32767 you need to move your mailboxes to a new DB. You can also use eventvwr to monitor your named prop quotas. Also ensure that your Ex 2003 has the hotfix to prevent anonymous SMTP named prop promotions. Exchange 2003 Hotfix "Outlook cannot display this view. Unknown Error" error message is generated in Outlook client and Event ID 9667 is logged on an Exchange Server 2003 server http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;972077 Use Performance Monitor to capture performance counter values. This creates a blank database file for the mailbox database. 4.Move all the mailboxes back to the recovered blank mailbox database.
