The name on the security certificate is invalid.

I'm getting errors in the Outlook 2010 and 2013 client stating

"The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site.

The SSL certificate was created by GoDaddy and it appears to be correct.  remote.xxxx.org.  I have been reading posts for hours and still have not found one with the resolution that I understand.

In virtual directories should the Internal and external URL be the same?

Can someone point me in the right direction?  Where should I be looking?  I have other 2013 Exchange servers with SSL certificates that are not having this issue.  I appreciate any

Is the internal namespace on the certificates you purchased from Godaddy?  If not, then that's probbaly why you are getting that error.  Depending on you internal domain names, you may need to make them the same so they can be on the cert.

Hi

Please check if the FQDN of server is in that certificate.

Internal and external URL dont need to be the same. Also please check if all the virtual directory URL have been set correctly in the certificate.

Best Regards.

Thank you.  I could not find the site.

I must have tested it a hundred times.  I think I have it figured out.  The WebMaster has a SSL certificate from their company on it for an apache server.  I will contact them to see if I send them the PK7 file they will use it.

I will contact them tomorrow.  I think this will resolve the issue.

I'm new at using SSL certs and welcome any comments or information.

Thank you,

Bonnie

Or you can just look in the ECP under Servers > Virtual Directories.
