The hub exchange transport don't let finish the installation of exchange 2007
My stm file was 230Gb and I run into lots of problems because of that size I tried to recover ( one instance) and tried to defrag (second instance). I was unable to create new mailbox. I had to exchange server 2003 and try to uninstall one of them baut did now alloed saying I had maibox, but the mailbox where not there. So I decide to remove exchange server by setup /removeorg.Into ADSI I force the native mode.We did the setup /PrepareLegacyExchangePermissions ; setup /PrepareSchema ; setup /PrepareSchema ; setup /PrepareAD ; setup /PrepareDomain and did ok.We start to intall exchange 2007 over windows 2008 but it stops always in the starting of Microsoft Enchange Transport.I allready did the change in the regedit because of IPv6 and didn't work. Can you help me?Thanks

Now I am trying something else in another server. I uninstall the part of exchange 2007that wasinstalledand remove the server from member AD. I am trying to install exchange 2003 again but I not able to do the forestprep and the domaiprep. I did the forestprep and went to an error so I did run ADSI Locate the CN=Configuration,CN=Services,CN=Microsoft Exchange container. Right-click the CN=Microsoft Exchange container, and then click Delete. Run the Exchange 2003 setup /forestprep command again. The forestprep did well but now when I run the setup /domainprep says I didn't do the forestprep.I can't install none exchange server, since friday. Thanks

Hi,I'd like to clarify the issue with you.1. Have you uninstall Exchange 2007 from add/remove?2. After that, you want to instal exchange 2003 in the network?Regards,Xiu

Yes I uninstall Exchange 2007 from add/remove because I pass the 3 last days trying to install exchange 2007 and I couldn't finish the installation. Always the same problem. The installation stops in Hub Exchange Trransport and the service stays starting. I tested this in windows 2008 and in windows2003 64 bits and the problem was always the same.I thought I couldn't do the install of exchange 2003, because of the prepare to exchange 2007 but I did install exchange 2003. Now I manage to install the exchange 2003 but I am not able to create mailbox. I create a user and a mailbox and everything goes ok but the mailbox don't appear in exchange manager and in the properties of the user in the TAB e-mail Addresses nothing is there.I already have this problem, sometimes when a create a new user the mailbox don't appear created. This problem and the size of stm fileand couldn't unstall exchange 2003 where the begin of this journey. One problem never cames alone, he brings allways another more.Dina

Then the problem is that the newly created mailbox do not appear in EMS?Please try tologon that new mailbox and then check the mailbox in EMS again.Regards,Xiu

I thing I found what is the problem. 3 years ago I had a person working here with me and he did the policies for the domain. I don't known when wedelete that account of that administrator. Now I am not able to open the domain controller security policy, it says "This action is only for products that are currently installed.Regards
