Hi Gordon,

Network Drives work on UNC paths i.e. \\Server1..., the drive letter G: visible to you is the letter assigned to the path \\Server1\Excel.... on your session\ desktop profile. This can be different for different users, but the UNC path (actual path)remains same.

Now the question is what is the problem you are facing when the path is updated as UNC \\Server1\....

Are you using Shared Workbook or just Normal Workbook.

You can create a shared workbook and place it on a network location where several people can edit the contents simultaneously. For example, if the people in your work group each handle several projects and need to know the status of each other's projects, the group can use a shared workbook to track the status of the projects. NOTE:- Not all features are supported in a shared wo

Hi Gordon,

It will be helpful, if you can share some more details on the steps you are doing.

If your document is a shared one, hyperlinks will be freezed and can't be updated.

it's a by design behavior of excel, you might use unc path. ie \\Server1\Excel
