The e-mail account does not exist at the organization
Hi, I have a user account that people receive the following message from: The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address. <mailserverishere #5.1.1>" I'ved looked and this particular case could be a quirky one. The details are: User account A is the account that Exchange thinks doesn't exist. User account B is her boss. A copy of user B's email is sent to A. (done through Delivery Options) Senders sometime receive an email back saying user A's address doesn't exist. (which really confuses them because theysent the email toB) This is the only time the bounce message appears. I've removed the forward and added it again. Still the problem. Any clues?

Are both of these users in the same organization? Is it possible that User A was deleted and recreated? Try to address a message from User B and then double-click on thename in the TO fieldand see if you can lookup User A's information in the GAL. If you see nothing but a weird looking x.500 address in the Display Name field, delete User B's nickname cache and then have them reselect the user from the Global Address List.

Yes, both are in the same organisation.I think that when user A was created (a while ago) the account name was spelt incorrectly. It was deleted and recreated. (email address remained the same)I will check the nickname cache as you've suggested (particular user is away for the week) however I wouldn't think it would be that as the forward is set on B's account in Active Directory Users & Computers, not the client.Yes, I can send directly to account A with no issues.Yes in the GAL and no mail restrictionsLooking at the bounce messages again, I've just realised they all have one thing in common, they are all meeting request responses.OK, So I've just confirmed, I send a meeting request to B and almost straight away I get a bounce saying A's account does not exist.I do NOT get a bounce message if I send an email, only the meeting requests.

You need toverify old delegates in UserB's mailbox by going to Tools -> Options -> Delegates. Remove old UserA and re-add it. This is because ofoptionDelegates receives copy of meeting-related mails sent to me is ticked with old UserA id in Delegates. If you can't see any delegates then you have another option to delete delegates rule with MFCMapi. - Open UserB's Mailbox withMFCMapi where UserB's outlook profile configured in online mode (not Cache mode) - Double click the Mailbox of userB to open. - Expand Root Container -> Top of the information store ->Inbox folder - Right-click the "Inbox" folder, and then click "Display Rules Table". - You can see all rules configured in mailbox. - Delete the Delegate Rule with "PR_RULE_PROVIDER" column propertyshows "Schedule+EMS Interface". (this is the same option which you can set with GUI Delegation "Delegates receives copy of meeting-related mails sent to me" but stale copy is still in mailbox.)
