Hi, Can please give us some details of what steps you already have taken? Did you remove the cluster resource manually? If so, why? Is any database connected to the RSG? Have you tried to remove the DB and RSG from Exchange Manament Shell? Remove-MailboxDatabase -identity <Server_Name>\<RSG_Name>\<Database_Name> Remove-Storagegroup -identity "<Server_Name>\<RSG_Name>" :Martina Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.

Let me give the background We have 2007 SP2 Rollup 4, we have 1. CAS\HUB on single server (2 No) 2. mailbox in CCR (2 No) 3. Edge Server (2 Numbers) Now what I did is needed to restore the Mailbox of user so created RSG Mounted the restored DB Tried to restore mailbox. Finished restoration Now needed to restore one more mailbox so need to delete and recreate RSG This situation I failed over to another node of CCR Then in Cluster manager I saw the RSG resource was not coming online How can i bring this online? I am getting the errror as in the subject line..............

Hi, Thanks for the information. Your problem is more clear to me now. The reason for your problem is the RSG was not created on the Node that now is Active. Hence it can not bring the resource online. Basically, because it hasn´t got the files (RSGs are never part of any replication). What you could try is to copy all of the file for this RSG from the passive node, to the active one. Note: the path must be the same. Two other options: 1.Run the commands in my previous post (you might need to add -configurationonly in the end) 2.Move the CMS back to where the RSG was created. I hope this helps! :Martina Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.

Dear Martina_Miskovic, Exactly the issue is due to the failover. I have failed over to the old node where the RSG created and got everything working! Thanks all for the support! Manju
