Yes, and I know that the part where it says "You can use Setup /m:RecoverServer only for server recovery. It cannot be used as a repair tool, to recover from a failed installation or uninstallation, or to reconfigure a server." probally is causing concern ;)I'd review these links.http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc411332.aspxhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/7c92af55-65dc-4a70-b6dc-a23b08fcd1d4Karlhttp://unlockpowershell.wordpress.com

OK, if it's not operational, you are either going to have to recover it or do the steps in one of those articles :)You could call Microsoft PSS too Karlhttp://unlockpowershell.wordpress.com

Hi, Please try to run setup /m:upgrade /roles:ManagementTools to try to patch sp2 for Management tools. Besides, please check the version for management tools from registry. The location should be: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\v8.0\AdminTools. Regards, Xiu

Xiu;Setup /Help:Upgrade indicates that you cannot choose roles to upgrade.Your commandline example failed on my workstation with: 'A Server Roles specification is invalid with this operation."Karlhttp://unlockpowershell.wordpress.com
