I have this problem too. The word File is missing from the WORD File menu, the Save As, Options text is also missing, and others.

If I choose to CTL-S , Save, I can't see any dialog and can't type in any document name.

I saw this thread about FastPictureViewer and the advice to remove it but I don't have that installed.

Any other tips to help me out would be appreciated, it is very frustrating. It happens in all Office apps, Word, Excel etc

For your issue, would you mind start Word in safe mode to check: Hold "Ctrl" key and click into the program.

We recommend you scan your computer with antivirus software.

If the issue persists, do a repair for your Office suites in Control panel>Program and features>Office>change>Repair
