Telnet to Exchange 2013 not working

Hello,

we have 1 Exchange 2010 server (active production) and 1 Exchange 2013 (new production) in coexistance.

When i Telnet to the Ex2010 server is works fine. When i telnet toe the EX2013 server i get a black Command prompt. When i start typing it gets back to C:\>

i changed the receive connector from all unassigned to the static IP. still no connection possible

I see the Ex2013 is listening on port 25. when i execute the telnet listening changed to Time_wait.

There is no antivirus software installed. WIndows Firewall is on. When i turn it off, still no connection possible.

What can i do?

Check all the services on 2013 and see if they are running
Double check the firewalls
Try adding the exchange 2010 Ip's on 2013 receive connectors and see the results

Look for any errors events for transport on 2013 servers

All services are running.

Servers are on the same subnet.

The receive connector has all IP's added (0.0.0.0 - 255.255.255.255)

There are no errors in the eventlog about the transportservice

Get-servercomponentstate shows all inactive

Set-servercomponentstate -component serverwideoffline -state active changed all to active.

Now mailing from EX2013 to the outside world starts working.

but from ex2010 to ex2013 still not working.

Fixed by recreating the Default Frontend receive connector and restarting the Frontendtransport service.
