Hi Suman,
As u said that you can't back up Exchange 2007 on Windows Server 2008! That's because Server 2008 doesn't include the familiar NTBackup utility. Instead, it has the all-new Windows Server Backup utility. Windows Server Backup adds a number of useful features—including
full support for VSS.
This is the link that provides you the detail that how u can backup of exchange server 2007 installed on server 2008

Hello,
You can use Exchange Volume Snapshot Backup Functionality - A new backup plug-in has been added to the product that will enable customers to create Exchange backups when a backup is invoked through the Windows Server 2008 Backup tool. Exchange
Server 2007 didn't have this capability on Windows Server 2008 and additional solutions were required to perform this task.

To backup Exchange 2007 SP1 on Windows Server 2008 you must use an Exchange-aware backup application that supports the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) writer for Exchange 2007, such as
Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager, or a third-party Exchange-aware VSS-based backup application.
