System Address Books in Hosted Exchange 2007
I have three hosted Exchange accounts with GoDaddy, which is running Exchange 2007 (they won't release the service pack level). My problem is that I have two system address books, the Global Address List and one named ORG_13548 AL. Outlook (2007 with all patches/updates) for all 3 accounts uses the ORG address book as their default system address book. However, this book, over which I have no control, is not a duplicate of the GAL. Specifically, it is missing the most recently established account and, as it's been over 24 hours since I set it up, I'm not inclined to think it's a replication issue. Questions: What is this ORG_13548 AL address book, where did it come from and why doesn't it mirror the GAL? Can I get it to mirror the GAL? If not, how can I change my Outlook clients to use the GAL instead of the ORG_13548 AL address book? Thank you very much! PS: GoDaddy completely punted this issue, claiming total ignorance/"we don't support that, call MS".

FYI you can find out the SP level via OWA's about area... This address list behavior is the intended behavior of HMC 4.5 which is Microsoft's Exchange 2007 hosting platform. I have an account with Microsoft directly (Exchange Online) and they also use this model. No, you cannot change it. Mike Crowley Check out My Blog!
