Syncing Users with DirSync

Greetings All,

I have a small office client that is on Office 365. They had a server they used as a file share, but they were in a workgroup, not in a domain. But that's not important.

I just recently rebuilt them a domain controller and added all of their users with the same usernames and passwords they had before to access the shares. The domain is CompanyDomain.Local. Their Office 365 domain is CompanyDomain.org. I am trying to sync their domain credentials with Office 365. I know you need an internet routable domain, so I created an alternate UPN suffix and changed all the users to the alternate suffix. However I get the following error:

"Unable to update this object because the following attributes associated with this object have values that may already be associated with another object in your local directory services: [ProxyAddresses SMTP:USer@Company.org;]. Correct or remove the duplicate values in your local directory. Please refer to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2647098 for more information on identifying objects with duplicate attribute values."

Any way to fix this?

Thanks!

Hi,

This is the forum to discuss questions and feedback for Microsoft Office client. There is not so much about Office 365 directory integration aspect here, I would suggest you to post in the dedicated forum of Office 365 Community, where you can get more experienced responses:

http://community.office365.com/en-us/f/613.aspx

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us. Thank you for your understanding.
