I would like to make the recent documents list in Word the same regardless of which PC the user logs into and independant of operating system version.

Has anyone had success doing something like export the registry settings during logoff and then import during logon?

Hi,

Word uses the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Word\File MRU registry key for the recent list.

(xx.0 represents the Office version, for example, 12.0 represents Office 2007, 14.0 represents Office 2010, 15.0 represents Office 2013)

Anyway, I haven't known such method as you mentioned to export and import the registry settings during logoff and logon.
