Synchronization issue
Hi A user has an account in exchange (@monkey.com), lotus notes (@lotus notes) Lotus notes account had forwarding to xyx@monkey.com The exchange directory had another contact which pointed to xyz@lotusnotes.com Forwarding from the good domain was removed and was populated with "DJ" Exchange account was forwarded to the existing contact that pointed to @good.com. This worked with no issues , but started facing problem with blackberry Contact record was updated from xyx@good.com to xyx@mokey.com This caused a non unique address for xyz in exchange directory and mail got rejected . To correct the issue , the contact record in the directory was removed This fixed the mail rejection issue Why did the contact got updated on its own ? Any synchronization process

Contacts don't get updated by themselves. Someone must have done something.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

It didn't. Something changed it. And whatever that something was, it was bypassing all the code that MS uses to prevent the duplication of proxy addresses. Look for something that uses LDAP (or ldifde.exe) to modify the Active Directory. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
