Sync issues between iPhone 5 and Outlook 2013 through iTunes
For at least 6 months I have been using a W8 laptop with Outlook 2013, and I've flawlessly been able to sync my iPhone 5 through a tethered connection to iTunes.  Two weeks ago, I lost the ability to update my Outlook calendar to the iPhone as new calendar entries were not making it through the iTunes sync process for some reason.  Contacts, notes, and bookmarks still sync perfectly, but calendar entries have stopped updating.  I've recently installed regular updates to the iPhone IOS, iTunes, Windows, and Office so something in the mix has caused my calendar sync to cease.  I have reverted my iPhone back to default settings and re-installed my user information, I've run scanpst on my Outlook file, and nothing has worked so I am searching for answers.

Does the calendar entries show correct through Web-based Access?

Which type of email account you are using?

Per your post, you are using iTunes to sync your message/Calendar/Contact betweem Windows and iPhone 5.

Is there a way to access your mailbox directly rather than connect Outlook to sync via iPhone?

Feel free to post back. Thanks.

Thank you for responding.  There is no real web access involved here.  I have a laptop running W8 and Office 2013.  I manage all of my media through iTunes 11 and I sync my iPhone 5 via a tethered USB connection.  For probably 6 months (since I installed Office 2013), my sync between iTunes and the iPhone worked perfectly for Outlook Calendar, Contacts, Notes, and Bookmarks.  Two weeks ago, my calendar sync stopped working and new entries on the laptop were not getting updated on the iPhone.  Contacts, Notes, and Bookmarks still update perfectly but, inexplicably, the calendar update is no longer functional.  I'm sure I've recently installed normal updates for W8, Office 13, iTunes, and iPhone IOS so something in that mix may have caused this.

I have no idea which update causes the issue. We may restore system to an earlier point and then update the suspecious updates for several times to find the root.

I have this exact same problem. I was having no issues with syncing my Outlook 2013 calendar with my iPhone until maybe a month or so ago. Funny thing happens though - I add an appointment to my iPhone calendar, then sync via iTunes on my computer and it doesn't show up in Outlook, but when I then sync my iPad to Outlook on my computer the appointment on that I originally created on my iPhone shows up on my iPad. So it's like Outlook is getting the info enough to pass it onto the other devices, but not enough to show up on the calendar.

One of the recent updates had to have changed something because I didn't change anything and all of a sudden it stopped working.

I had a similar issue - just got a new computer with W8, installed iTunes and office 2013.  Outlook worked fine UNTIL I tried to sync my i5.  Now Outlook CRASHES EVERY TIME I TRY TO OPEN IT.

Make sure you have your Add-Ins in control.  Make sure you have the iTunes Outlook add-in active as well as the Outlook Change Notifier.  Disable everything you don't need.

I am having the exact same problem. I'm running Outlook 2013 on a Windows 8 laptop. I went on holiday two weeks ago and my phone was synching fine with my Outlook calendar up until then. Since I returned yesterday it will not sync. All the updates required for all the software are up-to-date.

this is my issue as well.  New computer, a desktop. New Outlook 2013 won't sync with iphone 5, but if you enter a new appointment on iphone or ipad, they sync with each other through the cloud, but not with outlook.  I'm sure it's something simple, but beyond frustrated.  How can this be an issue that's not fixable?

 I have the same problem.

Outlook 2010 synced magically with itunes via cable. Now with outlook 2013 the calendar just wont sync at all!

Very frustrating and inconvenient.

I have been having this problem for ages.

I have just changed the auto sync so it is manual only, and instead of crashing every time it is now at the 'syncing calendars' (Step 2 of 3) which it has been doing for a few minutes now. Makes a change from the 'outlook needs to repair itself" (which, by the way is a huge waste of time - neither quick nor full repair fixes the problem at all). Waiting, waiting....

Same issue.... Windows 8, Outlook 2013 on pc, iPhone5. All syncing was working ok until a few weeks ago. Now all syncing is still ok with the exception of the calendar. The problem seemed to start after I changed my primary email address to a new one. Everything except the calendar is good. Have not found any solution except for awkward work arounds.

Is "add-in" on my phone or on my itunes on the desktop?  having the same problem, as others and can't find the add-in" location that you're referring to.  Thanks!

The iTunes or iCloud addin is installed in Outlook - look in File, Options, Addins (or Trust Center, Addins). There should be two Apple addins - iCloud or iTunes plus outlook change notifier.
