Strange Issue in Dynamic Distribution List Groups (DDL's) in Exchange 2007
Hi Team Iam currently having an issues with DDL in exchange 2007 and 2003 as well, am not sure whthere it is by exchange design or not. Here we go. 1. I created a new DDL in EMS . The location of the DDL is taken by default is USERS org.unit in Active Directory. 2. My Criteria is to add the members to the DDL whose state is equal to "chennai"(is the name of the state) 3. Then i created some of the users in the same OU (users) where the DDL is located , then i added theirs state as Chennai in the address field in EMS and found the members are available in the DDL Groups. 4. here is my problem started., When i created the users who are in Different OU,(other than users,ou) those state as i mentioned "chennai" is not adding to the DDL Groups automatically. 5. Once i moved the all the users from the different OU to the users ou,(where the DDL groups) are located , it is automatically adding all the memebers in the DDL groups. Why it is behaving like this ? is it by design or something else behind this. i tired in Ex 2003 also. Same issue. Can some one test this and update me? Thanks in Advance

If your intension is to include the entire AD forest in the scope of the search, then you have to set the "-RecipientContainer <OrganizationalUnitIdParameter>" on the DDL to use the root of your AD forest. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
