Store delegate replies in owners sent folder
Using SBS 2003 SP 2. Setup one user account with mailbox that is used as a public account. Granted three delegates who are able to open/read/send email and maintain calendar. However, delegate replies are stored in the deletage's sent box and not in the "public" account sent box. This poses a problem since the other delegates cannot determine if an public email has been replied to. How can Exchange/Outlook be set up to keep all delegates messages in the delegating owners mailboxes? Bob

You could setup outlook on each workstation with the "Store a copy of the reply in the original message folder," but then the sent items would actually sit in the Inbox along with the message. The other alternative would be to have them CC (or preferrably, BCC) the public account any time they reply. Why aren't you using a public folder for this instead of a user account though?

Thanks for the reply. It was my understanding that external mail cannot be delivered to a public folder since a public folder is "mail-enabled" not "mailbox-enabled". We're using the common ( I'll use the term common instead of public to avoid confusion) user account for email, calendar, tasks, etc. for the small business we have. There are many ways to "skin the cat" I guess. Even if we weren't using this common account, the problem I'm having exists with any mailbox-enabled account with delegates. That is, the delegating person will not see replies made by delegates unless, as you suggest, they are cc'ed. Also, Outlook does not know that a reply has been made.

As an alternative you can try to use this 3rd-party utility: http://www.ivasoft.com/unisent.shtml Regards, Victor Ivanidze
