Storage Disks on a SAN & Exchange 2007
Hi, When using a SAN with Exchange 2007, is anyone using Fibre ATA Disks (Serial ATA) FATA? I know Fibre Channel is better and recommended but is it ok to use on the SAN for at a backup site temporarily if the primary site goes down? Would the performance issues be that serious? Or any technical issues it the primary site is Fibre Channel. Thanks in Advance for replies. StS

As long as you are either using Fibre Channel or iSCSI, Exchange really won't care what the actual disks are on the SAN. Your main concern will just be making sure that the SAN can keep up with the IOPS requirements of Exchange server. How many users do you have?
