Stock queries still not reliable.. what's up?

It seems that US stocks return reliable prices, but correct Canadian stock prices are still a hit or miss proposition.

Example:  CA:IAE  returns a price for IAE on the London exchange and CA:RUS, which should return a price for Russel Metals, is showing data for Raven Russia.

Many of the queries on Canadian stocks are fine, but these random errors are making MS Money queries unreliable and thus difficult to work with.

Am I doing something wrong here, or is there a logic bug in the stock exchange selection process?

Thanks Bjoern25.

I tried your suggestion but found that the one stock had no ISIN (at least at the look-up site I was using) and the query didn't return results for the one I did find. Never-the-less, I have learned something here and appreciate your intro to the ISIN world.

On the mysterious side though, my original query is now working as it should. Any possibility that a simple problem got fixed behind the MS curtain? I will be keeping this query worksheet in test mode for a while as I have lost a lot of confidence in MSMoney since the Christmas hit.

Hi Hounddog,

a smiliar thread has just recently been answered:

For CA:IAE I'd avise to take the ISIN instead of your ID. Furthermore, put the ID of the stock exchange in front of the ISIN:

CA:CA4656761042

The first "CA:" represents the stock exchange. In the other thread it worked. I don't know whether it will also work here. If this does not work at all, you could try:

CA4656761042

Regards
