Some user's free/busy showing details in the Scheduling Assistant of Outlook 2010
I have an Exchange 2007 enviroment with about 200 users. Out of those 200 users, we have a small handful of Outlook 2010 users and mostly 2003. And out of those 200 users, from an Outlook 2010 client, I can see their free/busy details. All other clients, it just shows the blue block in the scheduling assistant. This is alarming because the one user is the VP of HR and we don't want users to be able to see the details of his meetings. I tried to upgrade him the VP of HR to Outlook 2010 and adjusting the calendar permissions to Free/busy time or even none and I can still see their details in the scheduling assistant. I have looked into every type of permissions adjustment I can find and nothing causes his free/busy to hide the details. This is a very alarming issue as noted and I'm hoping we can find a solution ASAP for this one.... I have researched for a day or so now with no good results.

Do other users see all the details or just you? What are the delegate permissions set to on the calendar folder and who has full mailbox access as well?

Any user that has Office 2010 can see these 6 user's details.Any user that has OFfice 2003 can not see these or any other details, but I also have the group policy set to disallow viewing of details for Office 2003 users.I have tried setting the group policy setting with the new ADM templates for Office 2010 to uncheck the two boxes for showing details, but the new ADM templates don't seem to be working for that setting in Outlook 2010The calendar permissions are set to default having only Free/Busy time. I tried even setting this to none and deleting default and letting it recreate

PS...also, I just checked and if I log in to the webmail interface, I can't see his free/busy details... I'm not sure if this function is even available in the webmail interface, but I wanted to check to see if that would happen.

If you didn't see in OWA and Outlook 2003, this may not Exchange issue. I suggest you recreate Outlook profile (in Outlook 2010), then check whether this issue will occur or not. Thanks, Evan Evan Liu TechNet Community Support

Well, I ended up paying for MS support and after being on the phone with a rep for about 5 hours, we found the problems. The first mailbox actually had a problem, where the other 5 mailboxes actually had the "Default" user opened as a reviewer. The #1 user's mailbox (VP of HR) was something strange. I kept saying that it seemed like the mailbox was a "Resource" even though it showed as a user. After hours of checking other things, the rep decided to detach the mailbox in Exchange, then reattach. This ended up fixing this particular mailbox. My theory is that somehow during migration, this mailbox was being seen as a hybrid user/resource. So, it showed as a user, but Outlook saw the Calendar as a resource calendar and opened it up for all to see...
