Some of the emails will disappeared automatically in sub-folders and Inbox in outlook 2013

We use IMAP to send and receive emails.

Recently, we found that some of the emails will disappeared automatically in sub-folders and Inbox.

And the case goes worse in these 2 weeks, more and more emails disappeared.

Our IT checked out that one of the email goes to the "Deleted items" folder, and 2 days later, the email was even disappeared in that folder. But one only person is checking that email account, and she hasn't delete / move that email.

I saw that many people discussed on the Net that they have the same problem when using Outlook 2013.

May I know what the problem is? And how can it be resolved?

Hello,

Might be the Filtered Mail rule already been applied on your Outlook profile. Thats why your emails getting disappeared From Inbox and sub-folder.

Resolution:

You should check the Filter rule in the advanced section of the View Settings in your MS Outlook and clear them all.

To do so: Open MS Outlook >> Click on View Tab >> Filter >> Clear All

I hope this information will be helpful for you.

Hi,

I suggest you check the following settings:

1. AutoArchive. Make sure there's no AutoArchive setting that removes emails from Outlook folders:

Right click on a folder, click "Properties -> AutoArchive", check the settings.

2. Rules. Please check the rules in Outlook, make sure there is no rule deleting emails.

3. 3rd-party add-ins. Check if there is any 3rd-party email purge add-ins in Outlook:

File -> Options -> Add-ins.

I actually don't think it would be a Filter thing, as the emails are moved to the Deleted Items folder as mentioned, a filter doesn't do this.
