Some emails not showing in sent items folder

We have upgraded some users to Office 2010 and exchange 2010. Some users have issues with emails not showing in the sent items folder.

The email does get to the recipient but when looking in sent items they are nowhere to be seen. This is not happening for all emails, it seems to be intermittent. After checking the 'recovered deleted items' the emails are found there but the user has not deleted them manually.

Checked the rules and nothing there is set up to do this

Any ideas?

Hi,

Is this issue reproducible on OWA?

Please make sure the user doesn't use the account on other devices, which may possibly cause this problem to occur. If this is the case, please stop using the account on other device and then check if this issue continues.

In addition, we may also try creating a new mail profile for one user with this issue, and then reconfigure the email account in the new profile to see if it helps. See:

Please let me know the result.

Checked the OWA and it shows different emails to the client. For example the client PC was showing 5 emails sent yesterday where as the OWA showed only 3. Chached exchange mode is turned off

The user does not use the account on another device so rules that out

I have deleted the local outlook profile and recreated for the user to see if this resolves the issue

Recreating the outlook profile did not resolve this

I ran mfcmapi to delete any corrupt rules but this issue is still happening. It does not happen everyday. For instance all was fine for a week and the out of the blue 2 sent emails went straight to the 'recovered deleted items' folder

Any other ideas?
