Some Outlook Clients Will Not Connect To Exchange 2013 Some Will,  RPC Error?
I am in great need of some HELP. This is my first Exchange 2013 install, I wish I would of waited a little longer, and everything was going great and then all of a sudden all of the XP machines would not connect to the server through Outlook 2007 - 2010. I checked the cert and all of the names were okay. I opened the EMS and ran test-outlookanywhere and every account, even those that work, fail with a RPC error. The strange thing is that all of the Windows 7 & 8 machines still work but the XP machines fail to connect. I've deleted profile after profile and recreated them. When I recreate the profile everything populates like it's supposed to, server name - email address, but when it gets to the point of authenticating, all of them fail. I've set the internal authentication to NTLM, Basic and Negotiate but nothing seems to work. Even when I manually set an account up using basic. My DNS autodiscover is set to a SRV record without an A host record. Below is the error I get when I test the Outlook connectivity in the EMS: [PS] C:\Windows\system32>Test-OutlookConnectivity -ProbeIdentity 'OutlookMailboxDeepTestProbe' -MailboxId XXXX@XXXXXXXXX.net -Hostname XXXXXXXXX.net WARNING: Failed Probe Result Details: Error: Error 0x6ba (The RPC server is unavailable) from ClientAsyncCallState.CheckCompletion: RpcAsyncCompleteCall EEInfo: ComputerName: n/a EEInfo: ProcessID: 3584 EEInfo: Generation Time: 2013-04-02 01:48:39.041 EEInfo: Generating component: 2 EEInfo: Status: 0x000006BA EEInfo: Detection location: 1710 EEInfo: Flags: 0 EEInfo: NumberOfParameters: 1 EEInfo: prm[0]: Long val: 0 (0x00000000) EEInfo: ComputerName: n/a EEInfo: ProcessID: 3584 EEInfo: Generation Time: 2013-04-02 01:48:39.041 EEInfo: Generating component: 14 EEInfo: Status: 0x000006BA EEInfo: Detection location: 1398 EEInfo: Flags: 0 EEInfo: NumberOfParameters: 2 EEInfo: prm[0]: Long val: 4 (0x00000004) EEInfo: prm[1]: Long val: 1722 (0x000006BA) EEInfo: ComputerName: n/a EEInfo: ProcessID: 3584 EEInfo: Generation Time: 2013-04-02 01:48:39.036 EEInfo: Generating component: 13 EEInfo: Status: 0x000006BA EEInfo: Detection location: 1418 EEInfo: Flags: 0 EEInfo: NumberOfParameters: 0 Exception: Microsoft.Exchange.Rpc.ServerUnavailableException: Error 0x6ba (The RPC server is unavailable) from ClientAsyncCallState.CheckCompletion: RpcAsyncCompleteCall EEInfo: ComputerName: n/a EEInfo: ProcessID: 3584 EEInfo: Generation Time: 2013-04-02 01:48:39.041 EEInfo: Generating component: 2 EEInfo: Status: 0x000006BA EEInfo: Detection location: 1710 EEInfo: Flags: 0 EEInfo: NumberOfParameters: 1 EEInfo: prm[0]: Long val: 0 (0x00000000) EEInfo: ComputerName: n/a EEInfo: ProcessID: 3584 EEInfo: Generation Time: 2013-04-02 01:48:39.041 EEInfo: Generating component: 14 EEInfo: Status: 0x000006BA EEInfo: Detection location: 1398 EEInfo: Flags: 0 EEInfo: NumberOfParameters: 2 EEInfo: prm[0]: Long val: 4 (0x00000004) EEInfo: prm[1]: Long val: 1722 (0x000006BA) EEInfo: ComputerName: n/a EEInfo: ProcessID: 3584 EEInfo: Generation Time: 2013-04-02 01:48:39.036 EEInfo: Generating component: 13 EEInfo: Status: 0x000006BA EEInfo: Detection location: 1418 EEInfo: Flags: 0 EEInfo: NumberOfParameters: 0 at Microsoft.Exchange.Rpc.ClientAsyncCallState.CheckCompletion() at Microsoft.Exchange.Rpc.ExchangeClient.ClientAsyncCallState_Connect.End(IntPtr& contextHandle, TimeSpan& pollsMax, Int32& retryCount, TimeSpan& retryDelay, String& dnPrefix, String& displayName, Int16[]& serverVersion, ArraySegment`1& segmentExtendedAuxOut) at Microsoft.Exchange.Rpc.ExchangeClient.ExchangeAsyncRpcClient.EndConnect(ICancelableAsyncResult result, IntPtr& contextHandle, TimeSpan& pollsMax, Int32& retryCount, TimeSpan& retryDelay, String& dnPrefix, String& displayName, Int16[]& serverVersion, ArraySegment`1& segmentExtendedAuxOut) at Microsoft.Exchange.RpcClientAccess.Monitoring.EmsmdbClient.ConnectCallContext.OnEnd(ICancelableAsyncResult asyncResult) at Microsoft.Exchange.RpcClientAccess.Monitoring.ClientCancelableCallContext`1.<InternalEnd>b__3(ICancelableAsyncResult r) at Microsoft.Exchange.RpcClientAccess.Monitoring.ClientCancelableCallContext`1.DeferExceptions[TArgIn](Action`1 guardedAction, TArgIn arg) MonitorIdentity StartTime EndTime Result Error Exce ptio n --------------- --------- ------- ------ ----- ---- Outlook.Protocol\OutlookMailboxDeepTe... 4/2/2013 1:4... 4/2/2013 1:4... I've got a remote into one of the XP clients and the server. I'm not on-site right now but I did check this client and it has Office 2010 with SP1. Thanks for the help.

Isn't the first 2013 "rollup" due out today? I've looked but didn't see anything.

That didn't work out very well to say the least....... It says that: 1) I don't have the correct operating system. (2008R2 SP1 is installed) 2) The "Mailbox Store" is not installed. Any hope?
