Slow search Outlook
Are your Outlook profiles on the terminal server configured to use cached mode? If so, then they'd be trying to search the local cache and you could be running into performance problems with several users doing this at the same time. You might want to ensure that cached mode is turned off in profiles on terminal servers. If cached mode is turned off, Outlook should use the content index on the server like OWA does.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

We are using Exchange 2010 on a windows 2008R2 server. We connect to our email boxes using Windows 2008R2 Terminal servers. When we search our email boxes on the terminal servers the search is painfully slow. When we search using Outlook webapp the search is quick. As a matter of testing i installed Outlook 2010 on our Exchange server. When i started the search i recieved an error telling me that windows search services is not installed. After some research i found that it is an part of the File services on Win2008R2 Only im not sure whether to install it on our Exchange server, our Terminal servers or even if i do need to install it. We do not use Outlook in chached mode.
