Skype for Business permanent meeting room

Is it possible to make the chat history for a meeting room permanent? As it currently works, anytime you join a meeting, you only see the chat from the point you joined and forward. Also, if for some reason you drop off the meeting and rejoin, you lose any history. I am aware of the Chat Room functionality, but this isn't available in the lync mobile apps currently, nor can you tie an audio conference call to it, or easily add new users on the fly to the Chat Room. I am trying to create an ongoing meeting place for emergency response situations. To this end, I also need a permenant conference call in number that doesn't require a leader to allow people to enter the room. I have tried creating a dummy account as a designated call in number for first responders, but the call requires a leader. As far as I can tell, you cannot customize your permanent meeting space to allow for anonymous callers to join without a leader.

If these requirements are not possible with the current product, I would like to make a feature request for these things.

Hi,

I have to admit these requests don't seem to be possible currently.

It is by design that you can't view the previous history which is before you join the meeting, either for the history between you drop off and rejoin the meeting. I would suggest the Chat Room function, but as you mentioned, it doesn't fit your scenario so well.

"As far as I can tell, you cannot customize your permanent meeting space to allow for anonymous callers to join without a leader." Based on my knowledge, it seem so...

I've reported the request, please be assured that any improvements in the product are based on users' requirements. Our developers strive to capture Microsoft users' ideas and are working hard to create a more powerful and easy-to-use product.
