Simplifying calendar scheduling process for a pool of people
What you asking is basically a central or resource calender which smart enough and would show as free if ATLEAST ONE person of the resource pool is free and would show as busy if ALL of them are busy. This not possible out of the box. Or there is no such inbuilt feature in Exchange to accomplish this.Jasjit Singh Dhindsa | ITIL v3 | IASA Foundation Certified | MCITP: EMA 2010/2007 | MCTS: MES 2010/2007, OCS 2007 | MCSA: M+S | MCSE: M+S

I assumed that was the case as we haven't been able to come up with anything so far. Perhaps I should re-post this question in the 3rd party extensions forum as it could be that a partner has built out this functionality. Thank you for the reply.

Hi all, We are trying to figure out how to make it easy to schedule time with subject matter experts. As an example, let's say I need to set up a meeting to talk about Exchange. I have three people on my team who are capable of supporting Exchange, so I'd like to have a single calendar or tool someone can go to in order to book a meeting with one of these three people. If any one of them is available during the particular time slot then they could be booked. If all three are booked then the calendar would reflect that. It is a seemingly simple situation but it isn't obvious if Exchange can actually do anything like this. The basic concept of a group calendar seems to fall down here as I don't want to book a single meeting that then shows up on the three people's calendars. I'm basically looking for a way to easily schedule time with a pool of people (or resources if you want to think of it that way). The idea is to make it simple for those looking to schedule time. They don't care that there is one, two, or twenty people in the "resource pool". They just want to know if someone is available to talk at a particular time without having to view 20 calendars... Thank you!
