I don't think it will let you if you try. You must remove exchange off of that server before you uninstall directory services.Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

I have three DC, I would like to depromo one of DC which installed exchange server 2003. Will it has any affects for my exchange server? Hi, This is not supported. This is an excerpt from MS article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822179/en-us For example, if you install Exchange Server 2003 on a member server, do not use the Dcpromo tool to promote the server to a domain controller. Or, if you install Exchange Server 2003 on a domain controller, do not use the Dcpromo tool to demote the server to a member server. Changing the role of a server after you install Exchange Server 2003 may result in loss of some Exchange functionality and is not supported. Plz also have a look into this: Demote Exchange from domain controller to member server Regards, Laeeq Qazi|Team Lead(Exchange + Sharepoint + BES + DynamicsCRM) www.HostingController.com
