Shared mailbox problem - can't open with fullaccess permissions

hi all

I can't open a shared mb i have created. i added fullaccess permissions for my account through powershell with automapping set to false. i removed it and added it again. i checked that the permissions exist by running get-mailboxpermission etc for the shared mailbox. the permissions all look correct. the mailbox does not seem corrupted.

if i add it as a separate account it autoresolves but i cannot open the shared mailbox - it says i do not have the correct permissions.

has anyone experienced this and resolved it?

i am close to deleting the mailbox and starting from scratch.

Might be as simple as replication delay. Test in OWA just in case, if you cannot open in there as well, re-apply the permissions.

Hi,

Please re-add the full access permission with the automapping set to true, then restart outlook to check if this shared mailbox added to outlook automatically.

And can other mailbox open this shared mailbox with full access permission?

Best Regards.

Hi Lynn Li

No, I added another user's account with fullaccess and they couldn't open it.

I enabled the user account on the shared mailbox and logged in as that account; I could send mail to myself so the shared mailbox cannot be corrupted.

Thanks I will try with automapping set to true and let you know.
