Shared Calendar and Permissions

Hello,

I have a shared calendar that we use in my organization and only 1 person has publishing editor rights while the rest of the company has reviewer rights. The problem is that if a reviewer opens a time block, instead of restricting the ability to post to the calendar, it lets them send a meeting invite. Any idea on how I can set it to completely block the reviewers from being able to send the request?

Also, we are using o365 with my Outlook 2010 set up.

Thank you.

Hi,

I can confirm if a user has been granted with the Reviewer permission in Outlook 2010, when he double clicks on a time block, a meeting invitation is created.

While with the same permission in Outlook 2013, the user will get a message that says "You don't have permission to create an entry in this folder..."

As far as I can tell, it should be by design in Outlook 2010 and we can't change this so far. Anyway we don't have to worry about this too much, the user only creates an invitation window and only when the calendar owner accepts it will an item be created on the calendar.
